The sun made him a hot head

Earlier today I told the kids I have a headache. They wanted to go to the park (it was hot 92 degrees) and felt like 100 ! I would rather go home in the nice air conditioning and relax and have a nice glass of tea. While we were debating this Adam and Abigail were both coming up with reasons why they should be allowed to go to the park, " We will be good daddy"; "I will eat my supper daddy" ; "I wont drink your pop daddy" ; "God wants you to take us to the park daddy" I think they tried every excuse there was to get me to take them to the park. I finally gave in, they had gone through literally 20 or 30 reasons why I should take them. I get everyone's drinks ready, put sun screen on everyone, make sure everyone has gone potty and we head to the park. I sit down on a bench that has not seen shade in ages and it was hot and just getting ready took me an extra 40 minutes just to make sure we had everything we needed then I hear Adam and Abigail up on the slide, "Daddy must think we are going to live here, he sure packed a bunch of stuff, let's go home it's hot out here" then they started telling me why we should go home, " Daddy it's hot"; "Daddy I have to go pee and can't go in that box (the outhouse) " ; "Daddy God wants us to stay cool" and they gave me another 20 or so reasons why we should go home. We get home and I finally get everything carried into the house and I hear them in the bedroom, "No Adam we better not ask Daddy to go outside he's grouchy the sun made him a hot head" ROFL
