Adam has learned how to melt my heart. Every time he gets into trouble and I am about to put him into "time out" he looks at me with that pout, you know the one with the bottom lip hanging out and he says to me, "Daddy I love you" in a very slow pained voice. And then he leans forward to hug me like I need to confirm that I love him back. Anyway this has gone on the last two days and each time I hug him and say, "Ok, I love you too, next time don't do this or that" or whatever he has done and go about my business and he gets off scott free. That is until tonight. He was jumping from twin bed to twin bed in their bedroom and when I went in the bedroom all the sheets were off the bed, pillows on the floor and the room looked like it had been vandalized ! Needless to say I was not very happy. Then I told him that's it, "Time out" and he went through the motions and I fell for it. I said, "Ok next time no more jumping or you are going to be in time out for a long time, now pick up your room" and when I walked out of the room heading back to the front room I heard Adam say to Abigail, "See sissy it works"
I was conned by a 5 year old.
